Broman
Broman Cellars is a small, family operation located in the heart of the Napa Valley. Renowned winemaker Bob Broman creates our small lots of handcrafted wines exclusively from Napa Valley grapes. We have long term contracts with several highly acclaimed vineyards. Our Cabernet comes from Beckstoffer's Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena and Georges III in Rutherford; and our Sauvignon Blanc from the Melrose Vineyard in Rutherford. Our Syrah is harvested from the Page Nord vineyard in North Napa. We have just planted a small, two-acre vineyard in St. Helena on our Deer Park Road property, which is below the Howell Mountain appellation boundary on the western facing slope

Crescendo
In the early 1900s, Napa Main Street rivaled that of many larger cities. Saloons and gambling emporiums were numerous, but culture had also made its debut. There was a library and reading room, an agricultural society and an opera house that would inadvertently become home to one of the first “tasting rooms” in Napa Valley.
In January of 1920, Prohibition was passed through the 18th Amendment. Even though the sale of alcohol was illegal, alcoholic drinks were still widely available at "speakeasies" and other underground drinking establishments. A few farmers were allowed to continue grape-growing to supply the wineries permitted to make sacramental wine during this teetotaler era, however. Though scarce, grapes could be had for a price.
As the story goes, a speakeasy was opened in the basement of the Napa City opera house. The unofficial name of this operation was Crescendo, named after the singing technique made famous by opera singer Gioacchino Rossini.
Crescendo was one of the few speakeasies in Napa Valley and was known for serving only wines from underground wineries down the road from what would later be known as the Oak Knoll area. More than simply a watering hole, it was a gathering place to maintain community, keep tradition and the area’s rich bounty alive.
In 1930, after ten years of operation, Crescendo was raided by Federal Agents and records were purged. Many consider this an historic site and legend has it that Crescendo served as one of the area’s first “tasting rooms.”
We present this ultra-premium wine in dedication to the rich history of Napa Valley and the opera house that kept the wine flowing during Prohibition.

Diamond Terrace
In 1998 we realized our dream of owning a high quality vineyard bypurchasing a 16-acre parcel on Diamond Mountain near the town ofCalistoga. We moved our family of six onto the property and determinedthat Diamond Terrace was the perfect name for our new home. The steeply terraced 5-acre vineyard was planted in 1984 to CabernetSauvignon. More vines were added in 1992. We knew right off the bat thisvineyard could produce a big, elegant, and age worthy Mountain Cabernet, our favorite kind of wine! So, in 1999 we began producing a limitedquantity of Cabernet Sauvignon that truly reflects the unique DiamondMountain District quality.

Haywood Estates
The history of Haywood winery begins in 1973 as Peter Haywood searched for land that would produce exceptional grapes. In a valley just one mile from Sonoma’s historic town square he found what he was looking for thin, dry soil on sunny well drained hills that would yield a limited quantity of intensely flavored fruit. Haywood named the vineyard Los Chamizal the Spanish term for the hardwood thickets that covered the valley. He purchased 280 acres of hard ground and spent the next five years clearing and planting what would eventually become Los Chamizal Vineyards.Today production focuses on the grapes grown in Los Chamizal’s unique mountain terroir and emphasis will continue to be on the three estate Zinfandels, Los Chamizal (renamed Nine Block effective with the 2007 vintage), Rocky Terrace and Morning Sun. The vineyard’s 42 acres of Zinfandel, grafted with budwood selections from seven North Coast vineyards pre-dating prohibition are planted in nine distinct blocks with soils ranging from well-drained sandy loams at the lower elevations to thin fractured basalt soils at highest elevations.
We invite you to try our boldly flavored, single vineyard wines that demonstrate elegance and commitment to small scale winemaking..

L'Aventure
Paso Robles: East vs. West We immediately favored the west side of Paso Robles for its sloping hills and authentic quality terroir. Another factor for this decision was the proximity of the Templeton Gap, a breach in the Coastal Range through which cool breezes blow continuously. The area is characterized by early fog in the morning, warm clear days, and nighttime temperatures that can drop by approximately 40 degrees.
The site, which was not planted, was selected after an extensive study of the area that matched with our long experience in the wine industry. The property covers a total of 127 acres and has many hills of various elevations, complex soils, and excellent drainage.

Mandolin
Mandolin is an independent winery that started making wine in 2000. It is a collaboration of three friends with more than 50 years of experience in the business.
By sourcing fruit from a variety of regions, the winery is able to cherry-pick from the very best available, and keep the prices of wines low. Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Lodi, Monterey, Central Coast, Carneros and Sonoma. Winemaker David Sayre, formerly of Stonehedge, strives to produce wines that are well balanced with expressive fruit flavors, rather than sweetness with excessive oak. The result is very accessible wines that have broad appeal.

Napa Angel
A new traveler arrives in Napa Valley. Pioneering spirit are the best words to describe the Montes philosophy and way of life. Passion and love of wine led Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray to accept the challenge of improving Chile's wines way beyond their then-current level. Why Napa Valley? Having established a solid reputation as a top quality wine producer in the two best South American countries for wine growing, the next step had to be the capital and cathedral of Cabernet Sauvignon in the New World's Northern Hemisphere. Opolo
Opolo Vineyards is located on a beautiful 70-acre mountain site, west of Paso Robles. Here, the poor mountain soils, high daytime temperatures and cool nighttime temperatures combine to yield intense grapes that are the necessary ingredients to produce fine wines. At Opolo, all of our wines are estate grown, produced and bottled, and production is typically less than 500 cases per varietal. Our specialties include big mountain Zinfandels, classic Zinfandels, full bodies Pinot Noirs, Merlots, and Syrahs, as well as an 'easy going' Sangiovese. We also have other great varietals, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and a delightfully sweet and fragrant Muscat Canelli.

Schweiger
The first Schweiger vines were planted in 1981 and the first harvest wasin 1984. For the first 10 years, the Schweigers sold their fruit to JoeCafaro, ZD, Newton and Stags Leap Winery. In 1994, Schweiger Vineyardsbecame a bonded winery and the family began bottling wine under theirown label, though they continued to sell most of their grapes tocontracted wineries.
Finally, in 1999, Andrew Schweiger joined the winery as the full-timewinemaker. The family discontinued selling their grapes and began using 100 percent of their estate fruit for Schweiger Vineyards wine. As wine production increased, additional winery square footage became necessary and construction was completed on the new fermentation room in 2002. Additionally, the garden terrace area, used by the family forentertaining during the seasonal fair weathered months, was completed in 2002.

Turchi
The Turchi wines produced in eastern Santa Barbara County represent a family project that began on paper in 2003. Winemaker David Corey, his mother Melinda Japs (maiden name Turchi) and his uncle Tony Turchi brought these ideas to fruition in the debut vintage of 2004. The goal was to make a reasonably priced wine that would pair well with a wide variety of foods. A blend of 83% Syrah, 8% Malbec and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, the Syrah is a wine inspired by the red wines of the northern Rhone. The vineyards lie in the high altitude parcels of Santa Barbara Highlands. At approximately 3000 ft. above sea level, the fruit is sourced from the same areas each year to ensure quality and consistency. Unlike most New World Syrahs, this wine is lower in alcohol at 13.9%. It shows sufficient acidity with a complex array of flavors such as crushed blackberries & cherries, toasty earthiness and a hint of bacon-fat. An approachable wine, its soft texture rounds out the finish with a bit of black pepper lingering on the palate. This wine would pair well with lighter meats such as poultry and pork in addition to grilled vegetables, pasta and rice dishes.

Waterstone
As a research biochemist in his college years, Brent Shortridge planned to go on to medical school. But a summer job at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma, working with legendary winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff, would prove to be the undoing of his medical career. Brent stayed at Buena Vista, learning about the wine business, and was eventually named vice president of marketing. It's been a love affair with wine ever since. Brent subsequently met Phil through a mutual acquaintance. Both had yearned to develop wines that met their mutual philosophical approach. With Phil's strong background in winemaking, and Brent's marketing skills, it seemed like a perfect match. They turned to Napa Valley, where established relationships with growers and vintners gave Phil and Brent access to some of the valley's finest vineyards. Creating a long-term future with growers from Carneros to Calistoga was key to their objectives - making high quality wines at affordable prices. "The pleasure derived from the wine should not be compromised by the price paid for it," says Brent. "From the beginning we set out to make wines we want to drink and can afford to drink." The two had sourced their grapes and began creating the wines and designing the labels, but still needed a name for this new effort. Then one day, relaxing in a garden with the soft flow of running water in the background, "Waterstone" bubbled to the surface. With their new brand secured, Phil and Brent immediately turned to their other passion: lunch.

Z52
Z-52 Background Two vineyards, two Zinfandels and one shared passion for the pursuit of small lot, single-vineyard wines are the driving force behind one of California's newest wineries, Z-52 . Seasoned winemaker Philip Zorn and veteran wine executive Brent Shortridge wear all the hats at Z-52, and their dedication to distinctive Zinfandels is evident at every turn. The heart and soul of this boutique winery, named for the shared “Z” in both Zinfandel and Zorn, (the 52 references the 52 weeks in a vintage year, 52 rows in Agnes' Vineyard, and 52 cards in a full deck) is its commitment to producing high-end Zinfandels from some of the oldest vineyards in the Lodi and Amador County regions. Z-52 ‘s minimalist approach to winemaking embraces the notion that terroir and its influence on grape character is essential to producing outstanding Zinfandel. Our Wines Zinfandel, zinfandel, zinfandel! Z-52 specializes in the production of small lot, single vineyard zinfandels, and a noble pursuit that is rarely played with a full deck of cards. Two vineyards, two Zinfandels and one shared passion for the pursuit of small lot, single-vineyard wines are the driving force behind Z-52. Z-52's minimalist approach to winemaking embraces the notion that terroir and its influence on grape character is essential to producing outstanding Zinfandel.

Fattoria Viticcio
The Viticcio Estate stands amidst a rustic complex, charmingly situated on the gentle and sunny ridge of a hillside, overlooking sloping vineyards with superb sun exposure, above the picturesque, ancient town of Greve in Chianti. It lies midway between the cities of Florence and Siena, in the heart of Chianti Classico region. The history of Viticcio is actually the history of the Landini family which, in the early 1960s became the owner of the winery. The founder, Lucio Landini, an engineer, was also a man deeply attached to Tuscan tradition, the Chianti soil and its products. During a time of great economic crisis Lucio and his wife Franca, compelled to undertake the risky financial venture of starting up a winery, decided to aim high and count primarily on exportation. From these modest beginnings the focus remains the same today - the production of high quality wines worthy of an expert international clientele. Viticcio means "tendril" in English and is symbolic of the company’s cautious and steady growth, emulating the tendril continually grappling its way to new heights.

Cascabel
A Cascabel is a small bell used in Spanish celebrations and is synonymous with festivity, liveliness and charm.
Cascabel Winery is situated 45km south of Adelaide, at the base of the Sellicks Hill Range near Willunga, on the Fleurieu Peninsula. This area has a warm, dry climate with windy conditions that reduces vine vigor and subsequent yields. The soil is a deep well drained stony loam of low fertility ideal for grape growing without irrigation.
Duncan Ferguson and Susana Fernandez are both very qualified winemakers and have extensive winemaking experience in Australia, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and New Zealand. This not only gives them a thorough grounding in many different styles but also an interest in producing wines in Australia with a complexity and finesse beyond simple combinations of fruit and oak. They are keen to explore the possibilities of medium-full bodied red blends of the style of the Rhone in France and the Rioja in Spain.

Flinders Run
Established by Emanuel and Laura Skorpos in 1997, Flinders Run is located on the fertile plains of the Southern Flinders Ranges at the top of Spencer Gulf. The late 20th century wine boom saw new plantings from 1980 onwards and a surge of plantings in the 1990s. The property comprises a total of 170 acres of land, the vineyards are planted to the classic varieties of Shiraz and Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Water comes from an underground spring-fed aquifer of excellent quality and is pumped up and through an intricate series of pipes to irrigate the vineyard. The vineyard is viticulturally innovative and uses all the latest proven technology presently available in Australia to ensure that the vines are in balance at all times, and to ensure the highest quality fruit possible. Southern Flinders Ranges are situated in Baroota, at the top of Spencer Gulf 275 km north of Adelaide, 100 km north of the world famous Clare Valley wine region in South Australia. Cool night time temperatures are responsible for deep colors and excellent acid retention in fruit, while daytime warm to hot temperatures are higher, allowing for even ripeness of the full flavored grapes. Wind is a beneficial constant that can be totally relied on thanks to the regions close proximity to the sea at the top of Spencer Gulf.

Hentley Farm
Hentley Farm is a boutique Barossa Valley winery owned by Alison and Keith Hentschke. It is situated among rolling hills on the banks of Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield. The vines are grown on red clay loam soils, generally overlaying shattered limestone (Terra Rossa) and lightly rocked slopes with little top soil. These well drained and gnarly soils, along with Western and Eastern facing slopes that benefit from being in a rain shadow, create very low-yielding vines that help Hentley Farm produce concentrated, full-flavoured and full-bodied, well structured and balanced wines. The vineyard, though relatively small, has more than ten blocks of Shiraz with varying aspects, clones and trellis system to provide diversity and complexity. Other varietals planted include Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Zinfandel and Viognier. Hentley Farm was given a 5-star rating in the 2008 edition of James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion.

Koonowla
Koonowla was established there shortly after by Colonel Barker, who began a farming/grazing enterprise but sold in 1892 to John Tothill who, with great vision, planted the first vines, built a fine winery for commercial wine making, and produced wines with a thriving export trade to England.
Koonowla became one of the six original wineries in the Clare Valley and continued to develop until a tragic fire in 1926 destroyed much of the stock and cellars. It continued with vitaculture as a major business activity for another twenty years, but slowly reduced the area under vines to make way for the economic boom developing from grain and wool production. Finally, in 1985, 8 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon was planted, heralding the recommencement of Koonowla wines as a bottle label.
Koonowla's current owners are Andrew and Booie Michael, who purchased in 1991 to expand their interests in the district. They immediately set to restoring the homestead and establishing new plantings – many of which are now in full production – to cover the same area that was originally planted in 1896, plus another 120 acres. This makes Koonowla one of the largest and most technologically current privately-owned enterprises in the district.
Chief Winemaker and General Manager Andrew Hardy holds a bachelors degree in Applied Science (Wine Science) and is also currently the Chief Winemaker and General Manager of Tim Knappstein Wines, a subsidiary of Petaluma Wines Limited.
Andrew is highly regarded for his enormous experience, having worked in all areas of the industry, from cellar hand, viticulturist, and sales/marketing to winemaker, conducting or participating in vintages at Simi, CA in 1995, Dundee Wine Company, OR in 1988, and Chateau Carsin, Bordeaux in 1991 and 1992. Andrew was nominated in August 1999 as a finalist in The Wine Magazine “Winemaker of the Year” award and has been responsible for a host of trophy wines throughout his outstanding career.
Koonowla feels very honored to have Andrew Hardy as its winemaker. He has been pivotal and inspirational in developing Koonowla’s varieties into those of consistent excellence that now form the benchmark for the brand.

Kurtz Family
The idea for the formation of the Kurtz Family Vineyards is by no means unique. It commenced from a long family history of growing grapes, drinking the end product and a desire to see wine made exclusively from our own grapes.
Great Grandfather, Alfred Bernhard (Ben) Kurtz, commenced growing grapes in the sub region of Light Pass in the Barossa Valley in the 1930s and this block is still worked to this day. Grandfather, Bernhard Otto Kurtz, commenced grapegrowing in 1957 at his Light Pass vineyard.
Hopefully this family tradition of growing grapes in the Light Pass area will continue for many vintages to come.
Enjoy these wines, as they are fine examples of traditional styled Barossa Valley Wines. Full and rich in nose, palate and flavour..

Phil Christiansen formerly worked at Hardy's, where he was a red winemaker in charge of their best wines. Since then, he has gone solo, making Shiraz in small, but ever increasing quantities. He continues to contract making wine for other small independents.
The label for Longwood Estate wines is from Australian native (Aboriginal) artists. The works are original and have a social consciousness. It's a very intriguing concept that the owner feels truly goes to the heart of what Australia does best – making great Shiraz and producing incredible Aboriginal artwork.

Margan
Since 1997 we have grown our vineyard area to over 320 acres of vines. The majority of these vineyards were planted by Lindemans and Saxonvale in the late '60s on the volcanic deposit known as the “Fordwich Sill” in Broke Fordwich. It is these unique old vines growing on this rare soil that provide Margan with its own distinctive style.

Nugan
The beginnings of Nugan Group took shape in Valencia, Spain, when a young Alfredo Nugan entered the fruit export market. The 1940's saw Alf pioneer what is now a thriving business located in Griffith, NSW. Drawing on his experiences from Spain, he used both innovation and strict quality control to become a pre-eminent supplier of superior produce, first to Australia and then to the world. He chose Griffith in South Western New South Wales because of its abundance of sunshine and the availability of water, allowing for agricultural applications all year round. Nugan Group is a legacy to the vision of one man and a family who have continued to pursue his ideals.

Old Plains
Oliverhill is a small boutique winery located in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Linda and Stuart Miller own this winery, which was founded in 1973, and is near the spectacular Onkaparinga Gorge National Park. They specialize in premium quality, limited production reds. Specifically, a single vineyard Shiraz, "Jimmy Section," coming from a small 5-acre plot planted 30 years ago; a Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on the lower section of the same vineyard along with some Durif; and a Grenache, sourced from the "Bradey Block" vineyard of old bush vines some 80 years old.
The wines represent the classic South Australian style, big and juicy with sweet black fruits, broad shouldered with substantial palate presence, yet maintaining balance and exceptional fruit intensity. All four reds are produced in an extremely limited format with total production hovering around 3000 cases total. The Miller's are producing hand-crafted wines that are truly artisan in style. They will never produce alot of wine, but what they do produce will always be of the highest quality.

Ox
With grapes grown by the winemaker’s father, Robert G. Hardy, son Andrew takes special care to produce wine that is rich and bold for a classic old vine Australian Shiraz. These vines date back to 1891 and can be found on the upper Tintara vineyard in McLaren Vale. Made by winemaker Andrew “Ox” Hardy, these are exceptionally limited and carefully crafted wines. Alas, there’s precious little to go around. However, the 2007 release of a new wine called “Little Ox” is cause for great excitement - cuttings were taken from the original block and planted on a reconditioned hillside on the same property. The result – textbook Shiraz with a pedigree like no other at a fabulous price. Better yet – it’s available!

Passing Clouds
Located approximately 100 miles north of Melbourne in the greater Bendigo district, the Heathcote sub-region is one of Australia’s premier red wine producing regions. Shiraz is the red wine of the region, displaying a distinctive mint character. Its intensity varies from vintage to vintage and from wine to wine as well as producer. The personality behind Passing Clouds is its affable wine maker Graeme Leith. Graeme is the upfront impetus behind Passing Clouds (with partner Sue MacKinnon who quietly and calmly lets Graeme do his thing). The wine has loads of personality reflecting that of those who nurture it.

R.L. Buller & Son
The vineyard, situated 450 feet above sea-level, has a hot climate, continental, very sunny, moderately arid with little humidity. Since the first grapes were harvested at Rutherglen in the 1850’s, connoisseurs of fine fortified wines in Australia and the United Kingdom have recognized the Muscats of the region as wines of unsurpassed richness. Today, wine merchants, writers and consumers around the globe acclaim the fortified Muscats of Rutherglen as truly the world’s richest wines. Here’s what one renowned wine critic had to say about these wines: “No other wine can rival these wines for sheer complexity, decadence in flavor and hedonistic please.” - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

Shinas Estate
With an all consuming passion for perfection, George Shinas draws on time honoured traditions producing handcrafted wines. Shinas Estate Wines minimizes irrigation of the vineyard, which reduces cropping levels and enhances fruit quality. The fruit is left on the vines long beyond traditional periods, allowing the intense flavours that characterise the wine, to develop. In true boutique style, only the highest quality fruit is selected for harvest.
Barrel aged, the Guilty has a concentrated aroma of mature fruit, French Oak and flavours that are full, rich and rewarding.
The Mildura region is fast becoming known for its Mediterranean climate, vineyards, classic wineries and great food. The Guilty Shiraz and Innocent Viognier are no exception.

Water Wheel
Water Wheel Vineyards is the brainchild of Peter Cumming, whose family has long been established as successful growers of tomatoes and cherries at Bridgewater-on-Loddon to the north-west of Bendigo in central Victoria. His driving ambition as a relatively inexperienced winemaker was to capture as much flavor on the palate of his wines as he possibly could, precisely the edge that Water Wheel still retains over so many of its competitors. Today, Water Wheel is regarded as one of Australia’s best value mid-sized producers. These wines capture the richness of wines twice the price, without compromising structure and balance.

Konrad
The Wairau Valley vineyard on Foxes Island represents a very warm site producing early ripening wines. Waihopai Valley, being much closer to the frost line, can typically be put into the category of cool climate vineyards. The wines of Konrad & Co. are selected from the two sites and blended to achieve an optimum balance between rich, ripe flavors and fresh acidity. The outstanding flavors have so far produced award-winning wines.

Black Pearl
Black Pearl Wines is a winery owned and operated by the Nash family, who relocated from New Hampshire in 1995. We now find ourselves fervently making wine. The vineyard is on the western slope of Paarl Mountain, which is part of the Cape Floral kingdom. The name “Black Pearl” was inspired by the fact that the vineyard is situated on the slopes of Paarl Mountain, and Paarl Rock resembles a black pearl after it has rained. Black pearls also have rarity value. The name of our blend “Oro” comes from the God Oro, King of the Firmament, who gave the black pearl as a gift to the ocean.

Edgebaston
The first wines from Woodlands Farm have been named Edgebaston. Interestingly there are a number of coincidences that have made the name a distinct choice for the Finlayson Family’s new release. The properties original land title is registered as Edgebaston and the official registration with the SA Wine Services for the property is still Edgebaston. Edgebaston , UK, is also where David’s Maternal Grandfather, Gordon Egerton was born and raised.

Eventide
The farm Mischa has been in the Barns family for three generations and lies just outside the picturesque little town of Wellington. It was originally bought by “Kelpie” Barns shortly after his return from active service in North Africa and Italy. The bordering farm of Eventide was also purchased. The third generation was gradually maturing in the shape of three sons: Andrew, Gareth and Shaun. Fruit trees gradually gave way to new vineyards and large areas were set aside for the nursery operations. With some very primitive equipment, a lot of passion, and much teasing from the family, Andrew surprised all by producing a very drinkable Cabernet – the die was cast!

Lynx
Nestled in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, in the center of the Cape wine lands, lies Lynx Wines. Owners Dieter and Diana Sellmeyer purchased the table grape farm in 1997. Since then they have replanted the farm, which is now producing wines that are getting great reviews. The name Lynx came about when Dieter and Diana were desperately looking for a name for their new label. The workers came running to Dieter to tell him they had finally seen the lynx that occasionally visits the farm. Being a shy, mainly nocturnal animal, only its tracks had been seen previously.

Niels Verburg
The Verburg & Meyer families founded Niels Verburg in November 1999. The first vintage released was 2000, which was very well received by the market.
Niels Verburg is situated on the eastern slopes of the Houw Hoek Mountains, 1½ km from the village of Bot River in the Walker Bay Region. These cool south eastern slopes catch the morning sun and are ideal for long ripening. This gives the well-balanced Shiraz good spicy characteristics.
