Broman
Broman Cellars is a small, family operation located in the heart of the Napa Valley. Renowned winemaker Bob Broman creates our small lots of handcrafted wines exclusively from Napa Valley grapes. We have long term contracts with several highly acclaimed vineyards. Our Cabernet comes from Beckstoffer's Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena and Georges III in Rutherford; and our Sauvignon Blanc from the Melrose Vineyard in Rutherford. Our Syrah is harvested from the Page Nord vineyard in North Napa. We have just planted a small, two-acre vineyard in St. Helena on our Deer Park Road property, which is below the Howell Mountain appellation boundary on the western facing slope

Crescendo
In the early 1900s, Napa Main Street rivaled that of many larger cities. Saloons and gambling emporiums were numerous, but culture had also made its debut. There was a library and reading room, an agricultural society and an opera house that would inadvertently become home to one of the first “tasting rooms” in Napa Valley.
In January of 1920, Prohibition was passed through the 18th Amendment. Even though the sale of alcohol was illegal, alcoholic drinks were still widely available at "speakeasies" and other underground drinking establishments. A few farmers were allowed to continue grape-growing to supply the wineries permitted to make sacramental wine during this teetotaler era, however. Though scarce, grapes could be had for a price.
As the story goes, a speakeasy was opened in the basement of the Napa City opera house. The unofficial name of this operation was Crescendo, named after the singing technique made famous by opera singer Gioacchino Rossini.
Crescendo was one of the few speakeasies in Napa Valley and was known for serving only wines from underground wineries down the road from what would later be known as the Oak Knoll area. More than simply a watering hole, it was a gathering place to maintain community, keep tradition and the area’s rich bounty alive.
In 1930, after ten years of operation, Crescendo was raided by Federal Agents and records were purged. Many consider this an historic site and legend has it that Crescendo served as one of the area’s first “tasting rooms”.
We present this ultra-premium wine in dedication to the rich history of Napa Valley and the opera house that kept the wine flowing during Prohibition.

Denner
Ron and Marilyn Denner had always dreamed of returning to their roots in California after a long and fruitful career owning and operating numerous Ditch Witch equipment dealerships in Colorado, Utah and Idaho. After a patient and exhaustive search of California that lasted for years, they founded Denner Vineyards in 1997 in Westside Paso Robles on what was formerly 156 acres of rocky, rolling hills covered with barley.

Diamond Terrace - Napa California
In 1998 we realized our dream of owning a high quality vineyard bypurchasing a 16-acre parcel on Diamond Mountain near the town ofCalistoga. We moved our family of six onto the property and determinedthat Diamond Terrace was the perfect name for our new home. The steeply terraced 5-acre vineyard was planted in 1984 to CabernetSauvignon. More vines were added in 1992. We knew right off the bat thisvineyard could produce a big, elegant, and age worthy Mountain Cabernet, our favorite kind of wine! So, in 1999 we began producing a limitedquantity of Cabernet Sauvignon that truly reflects the unique DiamondMountain District quality.

L'Aventure
Paso Robles: East vs. West We immediately favored the west side of Paso Robles for its sloping hills and authentic quality terroir. Another factor for this decision was the proximity of the Templeton Gap, a breach in the Coastal Range through which cool breezes blow continuously. The area is characterized by early fog in the morning, warm clear days, and nighttime temperatures that can drop by approximately 40 degrees.
The site, which was not planted, was selected after an extensive study of the area that matched with our long experience in the wine industry. The property covers a total of 127 acres and has many hills of various elevations, complex soils, and excellent drainage.

Mandolin
Mandolin is an independent winery that started making wine in 2000. It is a collaboration of three friends with more than 50 years of experience in the business.
By sourcing fruit from a variety of regions, the winery is able to cherry-pick from the very best available, and keep the prices of wines low. Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Lodi, Monterey, Central Coast, Carneros and Sonoma. Winemaker David Sayre, formerly of Stonehedge, strives to produce wines that are well balanced with expressive fruit flavors, rather than sweetness with excessive oak. The result is very accessible wines that have broad appeal.

Opolo
Opolo Vineyards is located on a beautiful 70-acre mountain site, west of Paso Robles. Here, the poor mountain soils, high daytime temperatures and cool nighttime temperatures combine to yield intense grapes that are the necessary ingredients to produce fine wines. At Opolo, all of our wines are estate grown, produced and bottled, and production is typically less than 500 cases per varietal. Our specialties include big mountain Zinfandels, classic Zinfandels, full bodies Pinot Noirs, Merlots, and Syrahs, as well as an 'easy going' Sangiovese. We also have other great varietals, including Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and a delightfully sweet and fragrant Muscat Canelli.

Schweiger Vineyards - Spring Mountain St. Helena, Califronia
The first Schweiger vines were planted in 1981 and the first harvest wasin 1984. For the first 10 years, the Schweigers sold their fruit to JoeCafaro, ZD, Newton and Stags Leap Winery. In 1994, Schweiger Vineyardsbecame a bonded winery and the family began bottling wine under theirown label, though they continued to sell most of their grapes tocontracted wineries.
Finally, in 1999, Andrew Schweiger joined the winery as the full-timewinemaker. The family discontinued selling their grapes and began using 100 percent of their estate fruit for Schweiger Vineyards wine. As wine production increased, additional winery square footage became necessary and construction was completed on the new fermentation room in 2002. Additionally, the garden terrace area, used by the family forentertaining during the seasonal fair weathered months, was completed in2002.

Waterstone
As a research biochemist in his college years, Brent Shortridge planned to go on to medical school. But a summer job at Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma, working with legendary winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff, would prove to be the undoing of his medical career. Brent stayed at Buena Vista, learning about the wine business, and was eventually named vice president of marketing. It's been a love affair with wine ever since.
Brent subsequently met Phil through a mutual acquaintance. Both had yearned to develop wines that met their mutual philosophical approach. With Phil's strong background in winemaking, and Brent's marketing skills, it seemed like a perfect match.
They turned to Napa Valley, where established relationships with growers and vintners gave Phil and Brent access to some of the valley's finest vineyards. Creating a long-term future with growers from Carneros to Calistoga was key to their objectives - making high quality wines at affordable prices. "The pleasure derived from the wine should not be compromised by the price paid for it," says Brent. "From the beginning we set out to make wines we want to drink and can afford to drink."
The two had sourced their grapes and began creating the wines and designing the labels, but still needed a name for this new effort. Then one day, relaxing in a garden with the soft flow of running water in the background, "Waterstone" bubbled to the surface. With their new brand secured, Phil and Brent immediately turned to their other passion: lunch.

Z Wines
Z-52 Background
Two vineyards, two Zinfandels and one shared passion for the pursuit of small lot, single-vineyard wines are the driving force behind one of California's newest wineries, Z-52 . Seasoned winemaker Philip Zorn and veteran wine executive Brent Shortridge wear all the hats at Z-52, and their dedication to distinctive Zinfandels is evident at every turn.
The heart and soul of this boutique winery, named for the shared “Z” in both Zinfandel and Zorn, (the 52 references the 52 weeks in a vintage year, 52 rows in Agnes' Vineyard, and 52 cards in a full deck) is its commitment to producing high-end Zinfandels from some of the oldest vineyards in the Lodi and Amador County regions. Z-52 ‘s minimalist approach to winemaking embraces the notion that terroir and its influence on grape character is essential to producing outstanding Zinfandel.

San Luigi
The San Luigi Vineyard estate covers an area of 19hectares, 16 of which are cultivated with vineyardsand three olive groves. It is located in a splendidpanoramic position at a height of 450 m. above sealevel, with south and south-west exposure. Theremainder of the estate is covered in woods of foresttrees, which are typical of the Tuscan countryside. Most of the vineyards, which are grouped around thefarmhouse, are entered in the DOCG register for theproduction of Chianti Classico (13 hectares) wines.Recently, part of these vineyards has been uprootedand replanted in a modern layout with selected clonesof Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet-Sauvignon. Thisprocess of renewal continues to be of particularimportance in order to ensure that the vineyards areable to fully express their potential. The year 1996was decisive for this winery: the winery bottling andpackaging activities were moved from the historicalunderground cellars in the old town center to a formerfarmhouse, which was enlarged and renovated and which is situated amid the estate’s vineyards. For themoment however, the wine continues to be aged inbarriques in the old village center, due to theexcellent underground location. In fact, the optimaltemperature and humidity found here provide the bestconditions for aging the more prestigious wines in225-liter oak barriques.

Roberto Cipresso Wines
Not every terrior fits into another, but with patience and consistency, almost like a zealot in a sect, Cipresso has now found a way to pursue his philosophy. As part of his discoveries, two other wines emerged; Pigreco and Eureka. Formed from discoveries along the way, a red blend and single vineyard bottling, respectively, are also products of his experiments.
His goal for each vintage of Quadratura del Cerchio is to continue to combine compatible terriors wherever they are- Sicily + Piedmont, Tuscany + Puglia….the options are endless, as long as they blend together to form the solution of the problem…..La Quadratura del Cerchio. By experimenting and blending form year to year, the exciting wines of Roberto Cipresso are a platform for uninhibited winemaking, the passion of Roberto Cipresso.
